Gilcilene Duarte, a sweet, fiery healer, born in Brazil, living in Italy since 2007. An alchemist, astrologer and massotherapist, Gil is specialised in aesthetic and therapeutic treatments. Her job is to take care of people by working on their body and spirit. Gil is a gifted soul who discovered her spirituality since very young age.
For her, correcting posture and relaxing muscles go hand to hand with deeply comprehending the personality and inner life of her patients. As per my experience, each of us sees her call at a certain age, could you tell us, when you realised that you were special and how you developed your gift

Shortly before my six years everyone had understood that I was a different child, very lively and cheerful who had started talking and walking very early. At first it only seemed that I had a very vivid imagination, but as time went by my mother understood that what I was seeing was not the fruit of fantasy but real premonitions which then actually happened. The bond with my paternal grandparents was very strong. My grandfather's sister, a very spiritually elderly woman, told my mother that my behavior was a gift and not something to worry about. On the contrary, she said to leave me free to express myself in order to take advantage of the gift I had received and start the realization of myself. From that moment a long process of growth began which often caused me suffering because in some cases I didn't feel understood. Thank goodness over the years my gift has turned into work because I've managed to channel and let the insights I receive flow all day nonstop. This was possible thanks to a wonderful father and mother who have supported me over the years without judging me, holding me back or imposing their beliefs on me. My parents have always encouraged me to best manifest my gift and this is magical to me.

When I met you, I didn't know that you had a vast knowledge of alchemy, and I am impressed with the result of the flower tarot. Tell us a little about these cards, why, how they work and why use the flowers

Throughout life we create an energetic memory of everything we experience. Alchemical flowers work on negative and traumatic memories that are somatised with physical or mental imbalances. Alchemy is summed up in the awakening of what one is to reach higher levels, grow, transform and transmute. The flower tarot is one of the many tools of alchemy and is used both in a consultative phase and to identify the floral herb extracts to take. When flower extracts occupy a space within you, they become a living remedy containing the soul of the plant in liquid form capable of making amazing things happen. Tarot cards, on the other hand, are 99 cards divided into three levels according to their effect on the human body and psyche. The flowers of the first level apply to everyday situations, the momentum of the individual (“I am like this”, keyword: body). Second level flowers apply to the individual's behavior and indicate more permanent situations such as the patient's personality (“I am like this”, keyword: mind). Third level flowers apply to the community and indicate situations of a broader scope related to spirituality, inner growth, work with others (keyword: spirit). Alchemy sees us as trees that have roots, a trunk and a crown. Alchemy is based on the three substances sulphur, mercury and salt, and on the four elements of nature which are fire, earth, air and water. The choice of cards is capable of revealing what the client's body, mind and soul need.

We are passing through interesting times. We are undergoing change, you and I know it well, and we know that many people seek help. How do you see your role, your mission in this very important new path we are moving into.

Yes, we are in a phase of change. I'd say that now we can't live well without taking care of our emotions. Emotions are something that cannot be rationalised and quantified. We need to have the strength to know each other to face our eternal ghosts and understand in which situations it is necessary to ask for help. Very often I see an excess of ego in people that causes them to become stuck in a cast that doesn't allow them to change and progress in life.
You need to have a certain humility and you need to understand that life is not linear. Life is a continuous flow like nature in which there is nothing permanent that thrives and grows continuously. We must learn to live in resonance with nature to try to go with its flow. It is like the law of chaos: if chaos exists, it is because order comes after and then after this order there is a need for chaos again and so on. This means growing in a spiral path. My role is therefore to help my patients get to know each other in depth and work at 360 degrees body, mind and spirit.

As far as I can say the “holistic” as well as “astrology” concepts have been very trivialized. We see a lot of ignorance, and above all a resistance to seeing things as they really are due to the wrong teaching of astrology. What is your advice for people interested and not interested in this science of astrology.

Astrology is a study born in religious, mystical and initiatory forums with the function of giving the human being a language that would allow him to relate to the occult and metaphysical truths of the universe. Later, unfortunately, astrology was reduced to the divinatory and predictive aspect due to the inability of the mass to understand metaphysics. The trivialization of astrology today is caused by many people who do not understand that revelation is given in the relationship between two astrologer/clients. Astrological counseling is a harmony between who asks and who answers. Astrology is the same for everyone and the difference lies in the interpretation. As I always say, it is a mirroring of what is up with what is down. The astrologer must be in tune with the client to make a personalised interpretation of the language with which the sky is expressed. Destiny lies in the person and not in the planet. Every person has a destiny and therefore in astrology there are two things: what you make happen and what happens to you. Each of us must know his birth chart which is unique and unrepeatable.
