Sound, Space, Stillness: Larissa Giers

There are women who enter a room quietly and still manage to shift the atmosphere. Larissa Giers is one of them. Her presence is subtle but unmistakable — the kind that doesn't ask for attention but inevitably draws it.
Larissa doesn’t sell wellness. She embodies a way of living that feels rare in our time: intentional, elegant, and pared back to what truly matters. A muse to many and a guide to more, she curates immersive retreats that recalibrate the senses, works with sound as a form of healing architecture, and composes music that moves through space like scent — refined, lingering, and impossible to forget.
We’ve had the privilege of working with Larissa across several Depuravita projects. Each time, she brings the same quiet brilliance: clarity of vision, inner discipline, and a natural sense of rhythm that seems to pulse through everything she touches. In a world addicted to noise and performance, she offers something rare — quiet power, sustained presence, and a deep respect for the unseen.
In this conversation, we explore her rituals, her approach to space and silence, and how she holds space with integrity — not as a performance, but as a lived practice. Whether you’ve experienced her work or are just discovering her now, we invite you into this rare moment of stillness and insight.
Can you tell us a bit about your background and how your path evolved over time?
My career began in the fashion industry, where I spent over two decades working
alongside the Capasa brothers. It was a fantastic, glamorous and extraordinary time—fashion was less corporate then, creative and free. I had the privilege of meeting incredible and inspiring people, to travel the world and to explore freely, experiencing a life of Rock n’. Despite the excitement and success, I never truly felt I belonged into the world of red carpets and parties, it seemed distant from who I was in my soul. My heart felt more at home in nature, in solitude and silence, rather than the spotlight. I was always the one slipping away early from events and parties, seeking quiet moments to reconnect with myself. This contrast eventually led me to step away from that world and embrace a life dedicated to healing and exploration. My life is completely different now. I embraced my calling, dedicating myself to the art of healing through retreats, sound healing and food. This path has brought me a deep sense of joy and alignment. The restless searching has transformed into a grounded sense of purpose and community. Where I once felt disconnected, I now feel at home, living a life that nourishes my soul and that allows me to share that sense of peace and wholeness
with others.
What kind of retreats do you currently offer, and what makes them different from others?
We just concluded two retreats with Bernd Windhofer and exceptional Yoga teacher from Bali, who returns every year to co-host his retreat in Europe with me.
With the next retreat I am starting a new chapter in my offerings. Together with Cecilia Cortes we will offer the first Crystal Bowl Sound training in Italy and perhaps the first one in a form of retreat. We are very excited to start this journey and sharing our practice and learnings and to open this wonderful practice to more people.
In general the retreats that I offer and co-host with carefully selected teachers are a reflection of my own journey and the healing practices that have profoundly impacted my life. They're designed to be holistic experiences that nourish the body, mind, and spirit. I believe what sets our retreats apart is the authentic, personal touch and the opening my home and world to the participants. These are not wellness packages, but intimate gatherings rooted in genuine experience and passion. I bring my years in the fashion world, my personal journey of transformation, and my dedication to healing arts to create a unique atmosphere. This creates a safe, nurturing environment where participants can truly disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with themselves. Having a small group allows for personalized attention and fosters a sense of community.
The retreats are an extension of my own path - a blend of an esthetic holistic universe and grounded wild nature, of worldly international experience and inner peace. We aim to not just allow an escape, but to inspire lasting, positive change in daily life.
How does music fit into your work today — and how do you approach sound as a healing tool?
Music and sound have become deeply integrated into my work, evolving from a personal passion into a powerful therapeutic and creative medium. My approach to sound healing is rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern scientific understanding of how vibrations affect our physical, emotional, and energetic bodies. At the core of my practice are the alchemy crystal bowls from @Crystaltones. These vessels produce pure, resonant frequency and tones that can induce profound states of relaxation and meditation. The vibrations from the crystal bowls have a balancing effect on the body's energy centers, or chakras, helping to promote a profound sense of harmony and wellbeing. But what truly excites me is the intersection of healing and artistry in sound. I have the immense privilege of collaborating with incredibly talented composers and musicians, such as Francesco Taskayali and Lorenzo Travaglini. Together, we blend the ethereal, flowing tones of the crystal bowls with the emotive power of piano. This fusion creates a unique soundscape that not only soothes and heals, but also tells a compelling story and stirs the soul.
What is your personal wellness routine or/and daily practice that helps you stay grounded?
Life is busy and my daily wellness routine I like to keep it very simple. The two constants are my morning walk in nature with my dog Tilda and my coffee blended with Depuravita’s Magic Potion, this elixir provides the caffeine boost I enjoy, but the carefully crafted ingredients also have a centering, nourishing effect on my mind and body.
Starting the day with a peaceful hike in nature listening and feeling the rhythms of nature keeps me grounded, balanced and brings everything into perspective. It is a ritual that grounds me and sets the tone for the rest of the day. At some point during the day, I always make time to play and work with my crystal bowls. The pure, resonant tones of these instruments have a deeply calming and balancing effect, helping me access deeper states of consciousness and clarity. Beyond these daily grounding tools, the rest of my self-care tends to be more fluid, adapting to where I am and what I am working on at the moment. One more, especially now in the summer I end my day with ‘hello wrinkles’ to hydrate and nourish my system.
