Launching our 2025 Medicine Woman interview series, we’re delving into conversations with inspiring women who merge ancient wisdom with modern innovation. For this inaugural edition, I had the privilege of sitting down with Lauren Bradley, founder of Béla Nektar—a name redefining holistic beauty and wellness.

Our paths first crossed during a Kundalini Yoga Hormone Workshop, led by the remarkable Harman Jot. Lauren’s presentation on women’s hormones was an eye-opener—equal parts profound and transformative. What struck me most was that I’d already fallen in love with her Béla Nektar skincare line, discovered through Muse & Heroine, long before realizing the brilliance behind the brand.

Lauren’s insights, coupled with her work on the The Quantum Connection podcast, left a lasting impression. After experiencing a one-on-one biomagnetism session with her, I knew her energy and expertise needed to be shared with the Depuravita community. In this interview, Lauren opens up about her approach to wellness, the science behind her creations, and what it means to be a modern medicine woman.

Join us as we explore her story and philosophy—it might just change the way you view beauty, balance, and self-care.

Many of our readers struggle with hormonal imbalances like PCOS or perimenopause-related acne. Why do these conditions arise, and how can women approach them holistically? (why Bela Nektar routine might be useful for them)

Master circadian hormones rely on a variety of lifestyle habits, including healthy relationship to light, fuel, your inner environment – and how you’re perceiving life through your emotions and stress set points. In short, it’s all connected, so hormonal imbalance can indicate dysregulation in any of these areas, that leads to the wider dysregulation of homeostasis.

Mineral dysfunction from chronic stress is also worth examining, as it’s highly linked to hormonal imbalance. You need minerals for the enzymatic processes in charge of producing, regulating and releasing your hormones. Often, conditions like PCOS or perimenopause-related acne correlate to trauma and imbalance through one’s emotional lens, so that work is needed as well.

Start by correcting your light environment, making sure your eyes see sunrise and sunset, and are aware of the seasons. Next, you’ll want to become metabolically flexible, optimizing your body’s way of processing energy and repairing itself, to promote vitality and longevity. Importantly, manage your stress levels to protect your hormonal chain of commands.

Once you’ve got those changes in process, clean up your beauty routine, opt into a line like Béla Nektar – so you’re not bringing hormone disruptors into play and your beauty products can reflect a more harmonious interchange with your inner and outer landscape.

HER SELECTION

“When the light hits your eye, it travels to your suprachiasmatic nucleus, the master metronome of the circadian timing system, regulating most circadian rhythms in the body."

You emphasize the importance of sunlight for mitochondrial health and its effects on skin and overall wellness. Could you explain this connection and why sunlight is so crucial for cellular energy and vitality?

Light is a fundamental beauty vitamin, and the cornerstone of self-optimization and longevity. Attuning to a natural and dynamic light environment creates an epigenetic environment for thriving – impacting the functionality of your whole being. Fortunately, getting into right relationship with the Sun is a process that most people will enjoy, because it’s in our nature!

Light codes flow to us from sunrise to sunset throughout the day and in differing ways during the seasons. When the light hits your eye, it travels to your suprachiasmatic nucleus, the master metronome of the circadian timing system, regulating most circadian rhythms in the body.

Your skin relies on the Sun for melanin production, and anything that disrupts that leads to a lack of full healthy expression, leading to possibly hyperpigmentation, hormone breakdown, and premature aging. While I don’t advocate for excessive sun exposure, I do believe getting bits of sunshine throughout the day is best for our ultimate health – developing, for example, a solar callous in the morning that is protective to the harsher aspects of UV rays in the afternoon.

Try soaking in the nutrients of the sun, without much clothing on, for short periods of time, adjusted to your Fitzpatrick Skin Type Classification. I aim to do this most days, all year long, but especially in the summer gathering the light (vitamin D stores) for winter, and recommend this to my clients. Your skin is the largest organ in the body and receives light codes for us from the Sun, so preventing or blocking this reception is not a best practice.

What is biomagnetism, and what kinds of issues can it address? How does it work in the body’s healing process?

Biomagnetism is a transformative cosmo-biological terrain restoration therapy that works with the body’s magnetic torus field at a quantum scale, addressing physical, emotional, and energetic imbalances. Rooted in quantum physics, this therapy transcends time and space, enabling the restoration of balance and healing across multiple dimensions of your being.

Through applied kinesiology (muscle testing), I directly dialogue with your body to identify blockages, misalignments, and distortions in its energetic field, which can stem from past traumas, ancestral patterns, stress, or microbial interference. These imbalances disrupt cellular communication, and the body’s natural frequencies. By working with the energetics of magnetic pairs, Biomagnetism clears distortion, and activates the body’s original holographic Soul blueprint.

Sessions are conducted remotely via Zoom, where I tap into your body’s resonant field to neutralize harmful microbial equations, correct distortions in RNA and DNA, and support emotional repatterning. The beauty of this therapy is how the body itself guides the healing journey, with each session unfolding based on what your body is ready to release. This personalized approach ensures that the layers of information within your body are addressed in the most effective way, getting to the root causes of imbalance.

Clients often report profound healing, especially after a series of sessions to address the layers of information and achieve deeper transformation. This work not only heals the present but also has lasting benefits for past ancestors and future generations. I am honored to help clients reconnect with their vitality, balance, and wholeness through this profound healing process.

What does your daily wellness and beauty routine look like? Are there specific practices or products you swear by?

My daily wellness routine begins right before sunrise, when I begin the process of syncing with the natural light. I am currently enjoying a lovely cup of hot Depuravita Morning Sun Yerba Mate- Green tea with the rise!
I swear by rhythmically harmonizing as much as I can with the seasons, and I make playlists (you can find on spotify) that tether me to the space-time of each quarter in the yearly spiral. I also swear by not taking meetings first thing in the morning, doing Kundalini with Harmonjot, and getting regular facials with Kim Hoffman Davis in Santa Monica.

Even though I make products, I’m very minimalist and don’t use excessive products, unless recommended by lovely Janine of Muse & Heroine. I especially never use foundation or all over face makeup, and I have not worn sunscreen in about 10 years. I do absolutely swear by a great red lip! (Violette FR is my FAV!)

I use Béla products exclusively on my skin – first, starting with my cleanser, then most often my Cerate of Immortelle tallow balm, which I reapply several times a day. I keep it, as well as my Ultraviolet Rose Tonic, in my purse and bring it out with me to fashion shoots, where I work as a tailor, and to meetings. It’s always with me.

At night, I do an oil cleanse with my Emerald Starlet Oil Elixir and remove everything from the day with a hot washcloth. I sleep in the Nature’s Facelift.
