Whenever I look at you, I always see a little girl—it’s impossible for me to picture you as an old woman. I’m truly curious about your childhood. When you were a little girl, looking almost the same as you do now, what were your dreams? Was beauty already a part of them?

I grew up in a very industrial part of Germany—there really wasn’t much beauty around me in the traditional sense. The landscape was grey, functional, and a bit harsh. But maybe that’s exactly why I developed such a vivid inner world. I started creating my own sense of beauty through imagination.

I remember being just six or seven years old, buying Vogue magazines and dreaming of a world far beyond what I saw around me. Those pages became my escape, my inspiration, and my motivation. So I got very precise with my goals—about how I wanted to live, where I wanted to be, and what kind of life I wanted to create for myself.

Even as a child, I was obsessed with skincare. I spent half of my childhood in drugstores, reading skincare labels, studying ingredients, decoding INCI lists—it was honestly my favorite thing to do. I think I bought my first anti-aging eye cream at 14.
